No, his name isn’t really Baby, but that’s what we all called him, even his owner who gave him the name Sonny. But he was the only foal at the farm while he stayed there, and there was already another horse with the name Sonny.
When his owner bought him, she thought he was a yearling, but it turned out he was only around 6 months old. He has since moved on to another farm for training, and at his new home there are a lot of yearlings and young horses.
It was love at first sight for me. I have a thing for flashy chestnuts, and his sweet face won me over. Baby Sonny is full Quarter Horse, so I can’t wait to see what he’s doing in a few years. When he’s no longer a baby.
I do miss him, though. Seeing him always put a smile on my face.
